Speculative article about the arrival of a 3G iPhone in Europe.

Unfortunately we here at MyiPhone haven’t yet had the pleasure to hold an iPhone in our hands, but one of our friends over at Gizmodo has.

According to Brian Lam, who has held the iPhone, it is not slippery at all. No more so than an iPod. Suffice it to say that it is no more slippery than a Wii controller.

I guess it is a matter of opinion as to how slippery it is. Or rather what you’ve done before holding it, and what exactly you’re doing with the phone.

What would you do if you had an iPhone in you possession at this very moment? I know what I would do, I would snap a picture of some guy eating toast and upload it to my Flickr account.

Ok, that’s not what I’d do, but apparently there is someone out that that decided to do just that. Unfortunately the images have since been removed from the account, but the account belongs to an individual that is a Program Manager at Apple, and works with the iPhone.

Gus had some great thoughts to share on the Leopard delay, whether to develop software for one specific OS, words of wisdom from a Nintendo game developer and how Apple’s past behavior can hint at the possibility of the iPhone opening up up to 3rd parties sometime in the future.

A source who tested the Apple iPhone supposedly told MacScoop “as a sole negative point, that the material used on the device’s case makes it feel even more slippery than the iPod and will probably require the purchase of a protective skin or case so as to avoid unintentionally dropping it.”

That’s one point about the iPhone that never crossed my mind. More of a reason to buy yourself a nice iPhone case, like maybe the Proporta iPhone case I like a lot.
