3G iPhone could arrive overseas by early 2008

Even though its vanguard cellphone isn’t yet out the door, Apple is allegedly preparing a quick follow-up model with 3G wireless installed.

Cisco-Apple tight-lipped over iPhone truce

The short-lived legal battle between Cisco and Apple over the “iPhone” name was only on the surface a trademark-infringement dispute involving identically named multimedia telephones.

Cisco and Apple have settled their lawsuit over the iPhone trademark, resulting in both companies being able to use the name worldwide.

Prudential Equity Group said that Apple expects the majority of iPhone sales to occur at its own retail chain and that it will not tread on any new product categories for some time.

Quantum Research warns Apple over iPhone

“We will be looking very carefully at the iPhone,” is the warning to Apple from touch sensor specialist Quantum Research, which already has one lawsuit proceeding against Apple for patent infringement, and is prepared to bring another.
